Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our team responsible for building the Live and Ads user experience across Android, iOS, TV, and web. This role is pivotal in shaping the way our users interact with live content and advertisements, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience across platforms.

What you’ll do 

• Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and direction, ensuring the team adheres to best practices in software development and testing.

• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

• User Experience Focus: Champion the user experience, ensuring that all features and updates enhance the overall experience for our members.

• Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the team's work.

• Culture Leadership: Be a role model of and advocate for Netflix culture.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as an engineering manager, preferably within a consumer-facing technology company.

• Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development, with experience in building applications across at least two of the following platforms: mobile, TV, or web.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing complex projects and delivering results.

• User-Centric Approach: Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of user interface design principles.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $190,000 - $920,000.
