POSITION PURPOSE
Under general supervision, obtains guests’ food and beverage orders. Ensure accurate and timely service of all orders by working with food and beverage personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers

 

2. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.

 

3. Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

 

4. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

 

5. Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through MICROS system.

 

6. Attempt to limit problems related to guests’ excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service.

 

7. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.

 

8. Clean bars, work areas tables, floors, walls, and both sides of the bar. Order or requisition liquor and supplies.

 

9. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.

 

10. Assists guests with menu and beverage selection, demonstrating salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge. This includes the occasional to go orders.

 

11. Assist other team members as needed.

 

12. Completes other duties as requested.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Must be at least 21-years of age.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible alcohol service certification.

• Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

 

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least three years experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.
