Responsibilities
We are looking for a Program Manager. The qualified applicant oversees and manages the operational aspects of a hybrid cloud services program. They will organize, direct, and manage task order operation support functions, involving multiple complex and inter‐related project tasks in both classified and unclassified environments. They will manage teams of task order support personnel at multiple locations. Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
The program manager will meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. They will ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs, establish and maintains technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organizes and delegates responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
The Program manager will accomplish any transition-out activities and hand over the tasking to a successor contractor with no disruption in service or service quality.
As a Technical Program Manager, the qualified applicant will lead AWS and Azure hybrid cloud projects for the migration of on-premise applications and databases to Cloud systems. Managing projects include DevOps processes and coordination across teams to include security, access management, virtual development desktop and networking. This position is contingent upon proposal award. This position is Hybrid- must be able to work onsite few days a month- must be local to the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area.
What you will do:
- Takes ownership and accountability of projects being managed.
- Responsible for the administration, planning, tasking, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, deliverables, and technical performance of the project activities defined in the Task Order Statements of Work (SOW).
- Have P&L responsibilities and present program status to executives at program reviews
- Manages multiple projects of significant complexity, size, risk and complex interdependencies.
- Manages the day-to-day work on the project through delegation to several technical leads.
- Assigns tasks to team members, monitors progress and reports to customer and manager. Ensures quality of team's work and on-time completion.
- Develops estimates on size and duration of work required for individuals or team to deliver client requirements.
- Serves as Peraton’s primary point of contact to the customer team lead. Interacts with client to understand project requirements, timelines, resources available, and existing assets to leverage.
- Interfaces with the customer and internal/external stakeholders to ensure client-satisfaction regarding project goals and objectives.
- Provides status and monthly reports regarding the tracking and presentation of project deliverables.
- Leads team meetings and maintains strong, positive interoffice and client relations. Represents team in cross-organizational workgroups, communities of practice, project teams, etc. Collaborates with client to define new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure violations do not occur within the program by taking a proactive role in the constant vigilance and rigor to emphasize compliance throughout all levels of the program (systems, personnel, and data).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience or 10 years with a Masters Degree. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
- 12 years of demonstrated project management, planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, coordinating, and directing all aspects of a project from inception through completion
- 12years technical and project management experience, including diverse experience in the development, integration, operations and/or maintenance of complex systems and technologies
- 12 years of demonstrated project management and customer focus experience with development teams and projects.
- 5 years of demonstrated AWS Cloud migration project management experience.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities
- Effective oral and written communications skills, capable of translating and presenting complex technical and project management concepts to management and customers, through presentations and other written formats
- Working knowledge of SharePoint
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
