What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities throughout a residential community location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of community roadways, residential perimeters, parking areas, clubhouses, and other common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity by checking identification, verifying entry authorization, and documenting arrivals, departures, and/or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports on patrol activity, incidents, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant updates with residents, property management, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, military, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Guard card is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
