SUMMARY:
The Senior Distribution Specialist is responsible for receiving; put away; order processing; picking; order preparation; shipping; and physical inventory responsibilities at the Redwood Distribution Center (DC). Senior Distribution Specialist reports to the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
2. Experience:
a. Minimum of 3-years general shipping & receiving experience.
b. PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. c. Forklift driving experience, including swing reach preferred.
d. Hazardous Shipping Certifications, preferred.
DUTIES:
The Senior Distribution Specialist is responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Supply Chain Manager and the Warehouse Facilitator at the Supply Chain Manager’s discretion.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
1. Follow all Redwood procedures to ensure no negative impacts on the Environment, Health, Safety and Responsible Care processes of Milliken Chemical.
2. Comply with safety regulations when handling hazardous material. 3. Participate on a safety team.
4. Completes all required regulatory training.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Review the orders scheduled to ship from Redwood.
2. Create Deliveries of sales orders, stock transport orders, and sales samples for the day. 3. Print Pull List, if necessary.
4. Create Shipment and print Bill of Ladings and shipping labels.
5. Review Special Handling Requests and take necessary action.
6. Prepare Export Orders – these include orders going to Europe, Korea, Singapore, South America, Canada, Mexico, etc.
7. Complete Order Tracking Log and assemble paperwork for each shipment.
8. Make arrangements with Carriers to pick up orders, and prepare Daily Truck Log.
9. Prepare UPS and Fed Ex shipments by filling out appropriate paperwork.
