Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory (Hybrid)

Reports to: Sr. Associate General Counsel, Regulatory     We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas or take over sponsorship at this time.     About the role: As Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory, you will join our well-established legal team aiding Enova’s lending and financial services businesses and focus on ongoing regulatory compliance with consumer and small business finance laws and regulations.     Responsibilities:

• Handle all investigatory aspects of legal and compliance with applicable laws and regulations associated with consumer financing products
• Provide guidance and collaborate with business teams to minimize risk
• Inform the business on various legal issues affecting vendor agreements and other transactions
• Partner closely with business and technology teams to implement changes
• Assist in managing outside counsel in order to accomplish legal and compliance objectives and meet budget commitments

  Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admittance in good standing with at least one state bar
• 2+ years law firm or corporate in-house counsel (consumer financial services or e-commerce industry a plus)
• Ability to investigate state and federal law and provide detailed recommendations
• Effective multi-tasking, communications, and problem-solving skills (multi-stakeholder engagement a plus)
• Genuine interest in learning in-depth approaches to consumer financial services
