Location: Kennewick, WA

Compensation: $18.29 per hour

Schedule: Full-time. Tuesday-Saturday schedule: Tuesday-Friday 900am - 5:30pm, and Saturday 7:30am - 4:00pm

The Role:

As a Lab Analyst I, you are a key member of a larger laboratory team. The Lab Analyst 1 is responsible for specimen accessioning, handling, processing, and helping prepare biological samples for testing in a clinic or laboratory setting. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and time management are very important for this role.

Role responsibilities include:

• Receiving, unpackaging, and document specimen shipments
• Inform Logistics of wrong routing, specimen issues, delayed samples
• Document specimen pre-analytical errors and follow up with corrective action when necessary.
• Organizing, racking, storage, and disposal of specimen following established procedures
• Monitor ambient and equipment temperature.
• Maintains patients' medical records and verifies accuracy.
• Assists in ordering laboratory supplies and necessities to maintain appropriate level of inventory.
• Complies with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Maintains continual sustained attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements to be considered:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred
