About the Drive Electric Campaign

Drive Electric is the campaign to accelerate the global transition to 100% clean electric transportation for people and goods, delivering massive benefits to the climate, health, and the economy. The campaign advances smart government policies to drive electric vehicle and infrastructure supply and demand; engages business leaders to ensure adequate investment in EV production and procurement; and supports diverse people-powered coalitions working to advance a cleaner transportation future.

Job Summary

The Associate Director, Drive Electric Campaign - Emerging Economies oversees the implementation of the campaign’s emerging economics strategy, with the support of the ClimateWorks Program Director, Drive Electric Campaign and Senior Director, Road Transportation. This position has the potential to manage additional staff.

The central focus of this position is to oversee all operations for the emerging economies strategy, including managing the initiative’s financial resources, ensuring effective and efficient distribution of funds to grantees, providing cross-regional coordination among campaign partners, and fostering increased engagement with our global Drive Electric community. The position requires operations, collaboration, and communication skills with a commitment to strong process management. 

The Associate Director will be responsible for building a strong culture of collaboration, communication, transparency, trust, encouragement, and learning among multiple external in-country partners. This position also supports the team in preparation of materials, including reports and presentations for meetings with internal and external partners, including funders.

Essential Tasks  

The Associate Director is responsible for the following duties:

• Implement the campaign’s emerging economies strategy, with guidance from the Program Director, Drive Electric Campaign.
