About the role

OCI Compute is looking for a technical program manager with a background in supply chain, server (CPU and GPU) hardware, data center capacity delivery, cloud services, server technology and software systems who can independently own and drive outcomes across the compute organization for high priority programs with large business impact. The ideal candidate has a background in liquid cooled GPU systems, compute architecture and managing software and hardware at scale. The ability to think about business problems from the point of view of our customers, analyze and process technical information, put together programs and schedules, to drive progress towards metric driven goals across service teams and communicating up and down the leadership chain accurately is a must.

Our Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) is required to understand the business, technical requirements, devise strategies for programs, identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements, drive delivery, unblock execution, effectively communicate project status, problem solve and suggest changes to hardware assembly, manufacturing and validation processes, regularly participate in executive meetings to present progress, and share project information with stakeholders. This is a highly visible role, managing programs with visibility up to the Sr Director/VP level of OCI.

This particular role is in Houston, with preference given to candidates in Houston or willing to relocate.

  • Deep dive into risks in hardware manufacturing and validation
  • Define and drive work streams to improve hardware manufacturing yield for CPU and GPU systems
  • Responsible for understanding business deliverables and independently putting together a program for delivery
  • Responsible for meeting deliverable deadlines
  • Create risk management plans and maintain risk register
  • Manage communication across organizations and cross-functional teams
  • Report program status up to executive leadership
  • Plan project deliverables; including hardware, resources, hours
  • Manage projects from implementation to closure
  • Lead regularly scheduled status meeting with stakeholders
  • Drive critical cross-org programs within Compute organization

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $78,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
