Summary

HII Mission Technologies seeks a Project Manager to support the Program Manager in leading day-to-day operations for the U 2 Mission Planning Cell (MPC) and associated program efforts supporting the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron (99 RS). This mid-level leadership role ensures operational continuity, resource alignment, and disciplined execution across a multi-site team delivering mission-critical ISR support. The DPM will partner closely with leadership, operators, mission support teams, and stakeholders to drive program efficiency, compliance, and readiness.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the PM in planning, organizing, and executing program activities that enable daily operations and warfighting missions.
  • Support continuity of 24/7/365 MPC operations through proactive coordination, risk mitigation, and on-call coverage as needed.
  • Drive schedule management, resource allocation, and task integration across multi-functional teams and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to audit readiness, internal controls, and quality assurance activities; track KPIs and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates and inputs for Periodic Program Reviews (PPRs), PMRs, technical meetings, and proposals.
  • Maintain deliberate, transparent communication across stakeholders; identify and resolve communication gaps.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for assigned workstreams; coach, train, and mentor contractor staff.
  • Lead cross-functional process maturation initiatives; ensure the right talent is engaged at the right level. 

What We Are Looking For

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Relevant experience supporting DoD program activities or operational units; familiarity with ISR environments.
  • Clearance: Must posses and maintain an Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of SharePoint and task/knowledge management systems.
  • Demonstrated technical writing and documentation skills; ability to brief leadership effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Air Force mission objectives, operational execution, and program support concepts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Experience supporting Air Force or DoD operational units in program support/resource management roles.
  • Familiarity with Air Force financial processes, budget execution, cost analysis, and audit/internal controls.
  • Proficiency with Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) for scheduling and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of U 2 MPC operations, ISR doctrine, and related technologies.
  • Experience coordinating SOFA, passport, VISA requirements and briefing program impacts to leadership.
  • Prior involvement in innovation/fielding of new programs and concepts
