Thin Sections Small Research Facility Manager

Grade UE07 £39,347 – £46,974 per annum 

Full Time: 35 hours 

Open ended contract: permanent

 

The Opportunity:  

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the School of Geosciences on the Kings Buildings Campus for a Thin Sections Small Research Facility Manager. The post holder will play a critical role contributing to the school’s eclectic research profile and teaching initiatives.  

 

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and open ended (permanent), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns.

 

Your skills and attributes for success:  

Familiarity with the equipment and sample preparation techniques in use while thin sectioning and their application to geomaterials. 

Mechanical engineering experience  

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 

Good IT proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, SharePoint).
