Position Summary
ROLE PURPOSEAs a Senior Manager at Samsung Ads, you are responsible for designing, building and maintaining the products and platforms that support and drive the hyper growth of the ads business and achieve our multi-billion-dollar annual revenue goals. You will partner with stakeholders to identify, ideate, and build solutions that solve our users’ pain points and drive business value. You are an autonomous, self-starter that can lead, inspire, and resolve ambiguity across many stakeholders and competing interests. You are organized, thorough, and detailed in being a trusted partner to business stakeholders and product managers to design and plan solutions that users love. You are comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and can interface with teams spread across the globe.
The Senior Manager, Performance SMB role will be work as part of a high-performing team operating against one of the highest-priority projects for the company. This role involves ensuring high-quality business requirements and execution against an ambitious goal to expand the Samsung Ads business dramatically into the small-to-medium-sized (SMB) business segment, comprising a huge advertising opportunity to bring effective, accountable CTV advertising to SMBs and those that service them. In particular, this role will help drive performance-based solutions that maximize customers’ ad spending through return on ad spend (ROAS) and driving very specific, measurable customer outcomes that will help define this space for years to come. This individual will work closely with partners in Sales to capture customer feedback and requirements, and translate them into business requirements to drive roadmap planning and execution. This role will take on business planning for the SMB initiative across a multi-year effort, helping to create and align a vision and execution plan that is joined to the broader Samsung Ads strategy, revenue planning for the business, and both annual and quarterly business and roadmap planning efforts.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Deliver high-quality, on-time business requirements as an input into quarterly roadmap planning in conjunction with partners in Product & Engineering and Sales.
- Coordinate effective go-to-market efforts for the Performance SMB business, aligning development milestones and resources with release phasing and requirements, enabling sales efforts, and establishing proper client activation and readiness
- Work with a diverse set of global stakeholders spanning multiple business and functional units against a multi-year effort to grow this new business area and platform.
- Capture customer requirements through formal touchpoints and initiatives that document jobs-to-be-done, voice of customer inputs, and competitive intelligence. Effectively capture and socialize this feedback as an input into various stakeholder groups and processes
- Create, maintain, and evangelize a compelling vision for the Samsung Ads Performance SMB business, considering mid-to-long term time horizons (i.e. 1-3 years) and requirements around customer needs, product platforms, and ad solutions.
- Evaluation of key market opportunities, competitive assessment, and industry trending through various modeling and analytical techniques
- Partnerships and M&A evaluation for key strategic gap areas as defined within mid-to-long term strategic vision
- Own and drive product planning and execution for key product/platform horizontals within the Samsung Ads ecosystem in partnership with domain product teams
- Define goals and measurable success metrics for your product
- Be the subject matter expert across product areas, knowledgeable across strategic, technical and business aspects
- Partner with Platform Analytics to monitor product metrics and identify enhancements to performance tracking dashboards and reporting
- Prioritize features based on strategic and financial goals, and work together with domain product management to successfully plan, execute, and deliver against roadmap
- Make clear, concise trade-off decisions when competing priorities arise
- Communicate the strategy, plans and progress to stakeholders
- Foster a culture of trust, openness, collaboration and inclusiveness
