About the role

About the Role

In this role, you will partner with our business leaders and engineers to build and enhance software that powers our iconic brands of Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. You will help define the product roadmap by working with other product management counterparts and leaders to understand upcoming capabilities to positively impact the customer experience. This role supports the contact center and customer care space, where our customers address questions or concerns about their online orders via either self-service tech on site or app, or through contacting us directly. Examples of projects that this space has handled in the past – self-service order adjustments, shipping claims portals, post purchase fraud handling, agent assist, chat bot. This role works very closely with our OMS team and also supports a variety of enterprise initiatives that may need custom integrations with our agent tools.

What You'll Do

  • Work with your product management counterparts and leaders to understand upcoming capabilities and help to scope out the customer experience requirements
  • Write robust requirements in JIRA stories, prioritize the backlog, and work closely with the engineering teams to deliver and test quality software
  • Develop and manage project plans and key stakeholder engagement strategy on all initiatives
  • Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders; articulates product needs clearly and succinctly to different audiences and cross functional partners
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of industry trends and standards to introduce the continual process, tool and methodology improvements
  • Identify, measure, and interpret results to validate product strategy;  Provide research, analysis, and support for identifying, evaluating, and resolving strategic opportunities

Who You Are

  • This is an entry level Product role and we are open to a variety of experience backgrounds, but you should have one or more of the following – you have a background in software engineering and want to pivot to Product, you have worked in the contact center space and thus know the user and customer needs, or you’re still new in your Product career and looking for a change
  • You should be a self-starter and proactive, and don’t need day to day direction
  • Be able to probe beyond the stated situation, identify underlying issues and consider possible alternatives – you love problem solving
  • High attention to detail, collaborative, and can shift between priorities quickly
  • Instead of asking “what do you need me to do”, you’re a person who says “I’ve done this based on anticipating what is needed, let me know how/if it could be improved”
  • 1-2 years in Software Product Management, Software Engineering, and/or apparel/ecom Contact Centers
