<p><span><span>Hill International is hiring for our ongoing projects in Athens: </span></span></p><p> </p><p><span><span><strong>Senior Planning Engineer</strong></span></span></p><p> </p><p><span><span><strong>Locations:</strong> Site Office Koropi </span></span></p><p><span><span><strong>Reports:</strong> Senior Project Controls Manager </span></span></p><p><br/><span><span>As a senior planning engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects by meticulously evaluating contract documents and reviewing and providing insights on design, construction, and procurement schedules. Your responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on the contractor's major construction progress, overseeing recovery schedules, organizing schedule meetings, and conducting regular on-site visits to verify the alignment of work progress with approved schedules.</span></span><span> </span></p>
<ul><li><p><span><span>Evaluate contract documents for each construction package and communicate any deficiencies to the Senior Project Controls Manager and Project Manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Examine and either approve or comment on the design schedules submitted by consultants, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Scrutinize and either approve or provide comments on construction schedules submitted by contractors , ensuring alignment with the overall master project schedule.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Review, approve, or comment on procurement schedules submitted by contractors, ensuring coordination with current construction schedules.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Monitor the contractor's major construction progress against approved schedules, ensuring adequate equipment and manpower, and reporting shortages to the Senior Project Controls Manager and Project Manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Review the contract baseline schedule and</span><s><span>/or</span></s><span> all schedule updates as submitted by the contractor in coordination with the senior project controls manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Review recovery schedules submitted by contractors in detail, ensuring proper increases in manpower and site supervision staff.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Conduct regular on-site visits to validate the compliance of work progress with approved schedules, confirming the achievement of major milestones, and reporting any deficiencies to the Senior Project Controls Manager and Project Manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Scrutinize daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted by the contractor, reporting any deficiencies or non-compliance to the Projects Controls Manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Prepare monthly and bi-weekly progress reports for submission to the client.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Organize and lead weekly scheduling meetings with all stakeholders, including the Hill team, the client, and the contractor.</span></span></p></li></ul>
<ul><li><p><span><span>A university degree in Engineering</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Minimum 10 years of experience in planning large construction projects, including planning experience in MEP works</span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Previous experience in Data Centers and/or in energy sector projects. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Proficiency in Primavera P6 environment.</span></span></p><p><span><span>#LI-EP1</span></span></p></li></ul>
