Description

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in the training and development of all new and existing staff members.
  • Develop and deliver procedural and technical training programs for branch personnel.
  • Participate in the review and testing of data system updates/upgrades to develop training and procedural adjustments.
  • Maintain and update the credit union’s electronic and physical procedural manuals and training platforms
  • Coordinate and participate in sales and coaching training for staff.
  • Routine attendance of credit union industry seminars, workshops, and conventions.
  • Assist with in-house training classes including, but not limited to, encouraging department managers to teach classes, reviewing the classes to ensure they are relevant to the current policies and procedures of the credit union on an annual basis. Publish an annual catalog, schedule of classes, tracking employee attendance, and establishing a class review process for attendees.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to procedures as they relate to training.
  • Perform specific and delegated duties assigned by the Training Manager, Senior Team or President.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE

The individual should have three or more years of job-related experience with classroom training in-person and should currently be in a progressive training environment.

The specific technical knowledge required to perform effectively in this position include:

  • Knowledge of training within the credit union or financial industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union or financial industry products and services.
  • Ability to draft and publish technical writing procedures.

 

SKILLS

  • Technical skills proficiency in software programs such as: Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Interpersonal skills that are sensitive to etiquette and protocol.
  • Ability to train and interact with individuals at all levels and departments.
  • Fosters positive working relationships and contributes to a supportive team culture.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A college degree in a business-related or teaching field or its equivalent of training in a financial institution experience is required.  

Experience with Jack Henry and MeridianLink platform products.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:

  • Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period.
  • Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
