Overview
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with any administrative or clerical functions. The Administrative Assistant is also responsible for providing support to other staff as assigned. The Administrative Assistant provides highly responsive assistance to other departments and the Genral Manager.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.83 to $19.23

About the Venue
The Macon Centreplex is comprised of the Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium. The Macon Coliseum is home to tenant hockey team, the Macon Mayhem and sits 9,000 patrons. Family shows, concerts, trade shows, GHSA, among others, are frequent entertainment in the venue. The Macon City Auditorium first opened in 1925 and has hosted iconic greats like Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, and Little Richard. The venue hosts concerts, weddings, private galas, comedy shows, among other events, in its 2,500 seat space. The 10,000 capacity Amphitheater is due to open in Spring of 2024.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support including typing correspondence, maintaining the calendar, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, and compiling expense and other reports.
- Maintains a filing system for records, reports and other documents.
- Maintains, files, prepares and transcribes correspondence, obtains appropriate signatures when necessary.
- Prepares outgoing mail with necessary postage; sends and receives email as needed.
- Performs general administrative functions including faxing, photocopying, mail distribution, and bulk mailings.
- Create and edit contractual agreements for facilities upon the GM and AGM's requests.
- Receive and document deposit information for confirmed events.
- Answer, screen and direct calls, screen visitors; receive guests.
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Responsiuble for mailing, recording and tracking client survey results.
- Responsible for assigning purchase orders and maintaining purchase order log and outstanding purchase orders.
- Work cooperatively with other department directors on projects of mutual interest.
- Perfoirm other duties as required.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of administrative/secretarial experience
- Proficiency in word processing and related applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proficiency in Internet research skills
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple assignments
