About The Role:
As part of the Global Clinical Sourcing team, the Sr. Sourcing Specialist supports internal customers across all divisions with negotiating, executing and managing commercial contracts with clinical vendors to deliver optimal outcomes for Boston Scientific.  This role collaborates with internal partners such as Clinical, Clinical Quality, Legal and Clinical Partnership Management to meet objectives and maintain compliance requirements. The incumbent will own and develop clinical sourcing processes, while implementing strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost savings.  
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing and managing sourcing events to align with clinical category goals; create and lead RFIs/RFPs, analyze proposals, and facilitate supplier selection
  • Negotiating and managing vendor contracts; track and report cost savings and avoidance
  • Assisting category leader with preparing and distributing comprehensive reports on category performance
  • Working with Clinical Partnership Management to manage vendor performance and maintain supplier performance review for commercial metrics and scorecards
  • Assisting with quality processes including NCEPs and CAPAs as well as internal and external audits 
  • Supporting procurement processes such as AVL updates and vendor changes; maintain relevant systems and databases
  • Facilitating supplier business reviews and report to the Vendor Management Advisory Board (VMAB)
  • Assisting with Annual Clinical Category Plan development; conduct research, data analytics and create presentation materials 

 
Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering or science-related discipline 
  • Minimum 3yrs experience with clinical sourcing, vendor management and/or procurement
  • Experience with contract management and negotiation
  • Experience leading and managing multiple projects 
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

 
 Preferred qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of clinical trial processes
  • Experience with procurement tools and systems
  • Experience managing outsourced Contract Research Organizations (CROs), Core Labs and/or Clinical Technology and services
  • Experience with program management and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong decision-making skills with ability to influence internal and external teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project deliverables  
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and effective communication 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project etc.
