ABOUT THIS POSITION
OverviewWaystar is seeking a motivated and organized Launch Management Intern to support our Launch Management team. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to how Waystar brings products, features, and operational changes to market—working closely with Launch Managers to help coordinate, track, and organize Tier 2 and Tier 3 launch and lever projects.
This role is ideal for a student interested in project management, operations, technology, or healthcare, who wants to learn how cross‑functional teams collaborate to deliver successful launches in a fast‑growing organization.
The intern will gain a broad understanding of Waystar’s products, tools, teams, and launch processes while contributing meaningful work that supports real initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
What You’ll Do
Launch & Project Support
- Support Launch Managers in coordinating Tier 2 and Tier 3 launches, including internal readiness efforts and operational “lever” projects.
- Help maintain launch trackers, dashboards, and status updates across tools such as Wrike, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Assist with preparing meeting agendas, capturing notes, tracking action items, and following up with stakeholders.
- Help organize and validate launch artifacts (readiness checklists, documentation status, communications).
Organization & Process
- Help ensure Tier 2 and Tier 3 work remains visible, organized, and on track—escalating risks or gaps to Launch Managers as needed.
- Support light data analysis (e.g., project status, completion tracking, basic metrics) to inform launch updates.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities to simplify launch coordination.
Learning & Development
- Learn how Waystar defines and manages Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 launches, and how organizational readiness differs by tier.
- Gain exposure to Waystar’s product portfolio, healthcare technology landscape, and internal operating model.
- Participate in team meetings, retrospectives, and professional development sessions.
- Complete a final project or summary presentation reflecting learnings and contributions.
What You’ll Learn
- How products and features move from roadmap to release in a large healthcare technology company.
- How cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Client Experience, Sales, Finance, Operations) collaborate during launches.
- Fundamentals of project coordination, launch management, and organizational readiness.
- Practical experience using enterprise tools and structured workflows to manage work at scale.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student (2nd semester junior, or senior).
- 3.2 or above GPA
- Actively involved on campus and/or community
- Majors/Minors: Open
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and interest in learning how complex organizations operate.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Interest in healthcare, technology, operations, or project management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
