Are you interested in building large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure? We are assembling a multi-regional software development team with the expertise and passion for solving challenging unique problems in a distributed multi-tenant architecture. You will use your knowledge and creativity to design and build innovative new systems from the ground up. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. You will be working with best-in-class end-to-end integrated compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.

Career Level - IC3

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in at least one (preferably two) of the following languages: Java, Python, C/C++, C# or Golang
  • Strong grasp of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems fundamentals)
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), and standard network architectures
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills
  • Working familiarity with the UNIX operating system and related tools
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
