InterCommunity, Inc is a FQHC LA (Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike). Our health center provides same-day primary care services to every member of the community, regardless of life situation or ability to pay. We also provide a wide array of behavioral health services. Our community Health Care Centers are located at 281 Main St. East Hartford, 16 Coventry St. Hartford and 828 Sullivan Ave., South Windsor. InterCommunity’s Addiction Services offers a similarly wide range of substance use treatment and recovery-supportive services, with many sites in the Hartford area. We provide services across the spectrum of care, including primary care, residential detoxification and substance use treatment, multiple levels of residential care, outpatient substance use disorder and mental health services for adults and children, intensive outpatient programs, employment and community support, mobile crisis evaluations, judicial support services 

and social rehabilitation.

Summary: This position consist of a Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm with one late evening and weekend rotation availalbitly required. 

An experienced licensed clinician who possesses knowledge about substance abuse and mental health treatment and is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques used to treat clinical disorders. Works independently with weekly supervision and is capable of directing and motivating residents toward recovery through specific avenues of treatment. This individual will supervise clinical team in all aspects of treatment planning.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides on call support to the unit and is available to cover shifts as needed.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Supervises clinical team in all aspects of treatment planning, assesses client treatment needs and provides treatment recommendations.
  • Develops and leads in-service trainings with the entire team and leads program improvement initiatives.
  • Provides clinical supervision to the assigned team of clinicians, residential counselors, care coordinators, and residential support specialists and is responsible for providing training and orientation to all new clinicians.
  • Provides individual and group counseling using evidence-based techniques.
  • Coordinates treatment with other providers to ensure best client care and ensures appropriate aftercare plan for all assigned clients.
  • Takes a lead in managing crisis situations on the unit.
  • Documents in the clinical record according to requirements of the regulatory agencies.
  • Follows and oversees the utilization review process.
  • May be required to transport clients in personal or Agency vehicle
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Educations &/Or Experience:

A Master's degree, Connecticut State Licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC) and two (2) years relevant experience, at least 1 year of leadership experience. Also requires experience working in a Recovery-Oriented System of Care and clinical supervision experience.
