A Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant provides comprehensive anesthesia plan of care delegated within the framework of the supervisory agreement with a licensed anesthesiologist.

 

Our anesthesia care team provides services in Missouri at our main campus. We offer a high level of acuity, coverage of all specialties, and encourage autonomy and growth. Anesthetists have a variety of shifts available, including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, and average 8 weekend day call shifts per year. No weekday call.

 

The anesthesia care team at CMH includes physicians, anesthetists, residents, and fellows. Anesthetists serve as paid preceptors to rotating anesthesia students and have opportunities to serve on department and hospital-wide committees. The perioperative team at CMH provides exceptional patient care and creates an environment of inclusion, support, and encouragement.

Responsibilities

- Clinical practice: expertly provides anesthesia services as delegated by the supervisory agreement for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Graduated from an anesthesiologist assistant program accredited by the American Medical Association on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or by its successor agency and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training On-the-Job Training
  • MO Anesthesiologist Assistant
  • National Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant
  • Licensed as Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant in MO Required Upon Hire
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification Policy for required Life Support Certifications. Required Upon Hire
  • Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) Required Upon Hire
  • Specialty Certification relevant to unit's patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred
