Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
The job of the Sr Divisional Manager is to define, develop and manage operations and customer support programs to support and meet Pilot Last Mile's mission and goals for service quality, customer satisfaction and profitability. Responsible for managing multiple locations and managing personnel at different locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Distribution focus: oversight of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, inventory and VAS activities.
Experienced in rapid carton throughput – import deconsolidation/domestic consolidation
Develops and maintains relations with vendors
Leverages continuous improvement methods to enhance labor productivity and process accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Performs managerial functions, such as, mentoring, coaching, administering performance reviews, conducting disciplinary actions and interviewing employment candidates.
Trains and ensures all assigned leaders are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations.
Implements, improves and maintains the operational functions of the departments while achieving effective and efficient service to the customer with a focus on quality, productivity, safety and loss prevention.
Establishes productivity and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains adherence through follow up and due diligence.
Manages operating budgets to meet the planned volume for the year including cost analysis, P&L accountability and labor productivity.
Works directly with all levels of associates to ensure procedures are followed consistently and best practices are adhered to regularly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to analyze technical and scientific journals as they pertain to
