What You Will Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled Game Backend Services Engineer with a passion for creating stable and efficient systems for live games. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience to our team, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our game backend services. You will play a crucial role in writing scalable and resilient code capable of managing heavy loads, as well as monitoring system health, developing new features, and ensuring seamless gameplay experiences.
- Architect and deploy robust backend services tailored to live gaming environments.
- Develop high-quality code that can sustain high traffic scenarios.
- Oversee the operational health of live systems, ensuring optimal up-time.
- Innovate and implement new features to enhance game functionality.
- Resolve technical challenges within the production environment and on live systems.
- Work closely with game development teams to define technical specifications and requirements.
- Create and manage tools to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system performance issues.
- Design systems to be fail-safe and capable of minimal downtime during maintenance.
- Conduct functional and load testing to validate system resilience and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in backend system development.
- Mastery of Python and C++ programming languages.
- Profound knowledge of distributed system design and practical implementation experience.
- Experience with creating and managing systems with high availability and throughput.
- Previous participation in the full cycle of development and maintenance of projects in production.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and requirement discussions.
- Experience with functional and load testing methodologies.
- Proficient with database design and Linux infrastructures.
- Experience with public cloud services is a plus.
Benefits:
The base pay range for this position is $156,000 to $240,000 USD per year. Actual pay is based on location and may vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience from the candidate. Total compensation may include salary, company bonuses, sign-on bonuses, relocation package, and other benefits such as:
