About the role

Company Overview:

Relativity is the first and only company to automate aerospace manufacturing by integrating intelligent robotics, software, and proprietary metal 3D printing technology. Disrupting 60 years of aerospace, Relativity offers a radically simplified supply chain, building a rocket with 100x fewer parts in less than 60 days. Our long-term goal is to upgrade humanity’s industrial base on Earth and on Mars.

Team:

Relativity is on a mission to change the way rockets are built and flown, expanding the possibilities for human experience.  To do that, we’ll need to create development experiences that expand the possibilities of our own people.  We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to build and scale our manager & leadership development programs.  This person will report to the Head of Talent Development.

In this role you’ll serve as a role model to all people leaders, creating a culture of learning and growth that aligns with and enhances our company values and principles.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the Head of Talent Development to build our manager and leadership development strategy
  • Lead the implementation, execution, and analysis of all people leader experiences and programs, including program design & management, training design & facilitation, vendor management, survey design & analysis, and internal marketing & communications
  • Create a clear and cohesive people leader journey, starting with first-time managers, that provides relevant, timely, ongoing, and impactful learning experiences
  • Identify individual and team assessments that our people leaders can use to understand strengths and development opportunities for themselves and their team(s)
  • Design onboarding experiences that help new people leaders understand our culture and prepare them for how to lead at Relativity
  • Design and deliver training/resources that empower people leaders to effectively manage individual and team performance (e.g. delivering feedback, effective 1:1s, setting goals/expectations, IDPs, etc.)
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to people leaders at all levels
  • Partner with DEI, Talent Acquisition, People Ops, and our People Business Partners to ensure our people leader programs integrate and align across the business
  • Track emerging people development technologies, trends, and best practices, and identify opportunities to leverage them with our team
  • Support and drive special TD-related projects on an as needed basis
  • This role will involve 15-20% travel

What you need to know:

  • 4-6 years of experience in a program management role within a People/HR team
  • 3-4 years of experience designing, building, and delivering people leader programs, including training & facilitation (this may overlap with program management experience)
  • Understanding of curriculum and instructional design best practices
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills – capable of leading discussions with people leaders at all levels
  • Understanding of individual and team assessments (e.g. 360s, DISC, Strengths, etc.), and comfortable administering and coaching people leaders on what they are and how to use them (bonus points if certified in some)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills – comfortable managing multiple projects/programs at different stages and with multiple stakeholders, from start to finish
  • Passionate about people development and eager to learn and grow through new experiences
  • High self and social-awareness – you’re attune to your own needs, and can read the room to understand what others need
  • Problem solver who loves experimenting to come up with creative and original solutions
