The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Global Procurement Director, 3rd Party Manufacturing & Hard Goods will be accountable for Global Procurement activities related to 3rd Party EMS, Metals, Commodity Components and Tier II suppliers and contract manufacturers. 

As a Global Procurement Director, 3rd Party Manufacturing & Hard Goods, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, your impact will:

• Provide end-to-end leadership across the 3rd Party Manufacturing and Hard Goods supply chain
• Help define and lead the department strategy to ensure business continuity, resilience, and value creation
• Identify and accelerate savings with strategic supplier partners
• Drive out complexity by optimizing spend, growth and innovation with strategic suppliers
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize activities that drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, risk reduction, efficiency, and overall best in class
• Establish and manage critical supply relationships that provide access to leading technologies and capabilities
• Negotiate and establish effective vendor contract agreements, holding suppliers accountable to high quality and best in class service
• Create solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills
• Interpret industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define objectives and KPIs for 3rd Party Manufacturing and Hardgoods
• Drive profitability through innovation and partnership with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage change through effective project goal definition, scenario planning, data analysis, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment
• Apply knowledge of different techniques and practices to achieve desired results

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Ten (10) years of Global Sourcing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Four (4) years of leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in business administration, engineering or logistics and supply chain management from an accredited institution
• Strong network and global experience with world class suppliers and contract manufacturers
• Professional engineering experience is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration across teams, functions, and organization

Work location:  

• Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 20%, domestic/international
