The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology are actively seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Clinical Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician-Educator Track).

Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree and demonstrate excellence in clinical care, education, and scholarly activities. Candidates must be board certified in Pediatrics, board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.

The selected candidate will provide patient care in our Fetal and Neonatal Institute and its 58-bed, Level IV Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) at CHLA and in our community-based NICU, site of our Fetal Maternal Center. The candidate will participate in the education and mentorship of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows. Our program sponsors its own ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship.

                                                                                                                                

The selected candidate will join a nationally recognized division of pediatric neonatologists and advanced practice providers with expertise spanning a broad range of neonatal and perinatal conditions. This position offers excellent opportunities for teaching, mentorship, scholarly activities, quality improvement, and participation in collaborative research initiatives through Children's Hospital Los Angeles and USC.

The Fetal and Neonatal Institute consists of the CHLA Division of Neonatology, CHLA-USC Fetal Maternal Center, and Newborn Follow-Up Program. The CHLA-USC Fetal Maternal Center is one of the largest fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention centers in the nation.

The annual base salary range for this position is $158,177-$517,500.  When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market as external market and organizational considerations
