Job Description

Duties:

• Research, evaluate and propose solutions that add value to / improve the business.
• Interface with business partners to gather requirements and convert into top notch technology solutions.
• Analysis, design, architect, coding, performance tuning, and implementation of new software solutions.
• Mentor junior team members on technology best practices.
• Effectively communicate with the teams across the globe to gather the requirements and provide the required solutions.
• Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, and advanced modeling that translate into actionable insights.
• Develop UI and UX visualizations that are easily interpretable and provide insights that drive business decisions.
• Apply working knowledge on database queries, procedures, tables, views, etc.
• Participate in brainstorming and evaluating new technologies.
• Participate in the planning for Big Data and BI strategies and promotes initiatives.
• Contribute towards building a highly effective team. Encourage the sharing of technical knowledge and the free-flow of ideas.
• Liaise with vendors and partners for problem resolution.

Requirements:

• Must have a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Systems or related field
   
• Must hold SQL Server Certification
   
• Must have 8 years of experience in software development and/or data warehouse positions performing Data Warehouse, MS SQL databases and/or Application development.
   
• Must have 3 years of experience with:
  • BI Tools: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, and Informatica
  • T-SQL, MDX, DAX programming
  • Solution Architecture
  • R (Work Bench, Mark Down & Shiny) and Python
  • React JS
  • AWS, including Aurora, DMS, EC2, S3, Graph API, and Apache Airflow
  • Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Agile, Jira, Git, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
  • DevOps (CI/CD), including Test automation
  • Working within the financial domain, particularly in Fixed Income; Snowflake and Docker and Kubernetes

• Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Atlanta, GA.  Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
