The Organization: The Business Strategy team at Chegg is a high-impact team
that works with key senior leaders to define and drive growth strategy across
the Learn organization. The organization tackles some of the largest issues
and questions in education and academic support while being backed by a
nimble and well-funded core business.


The Business Strategy team presents a unique opportunity to not only set
longer-term growth strategy, but also takes a hands-on approach in bringing
that vision to life by directly collaborating with our marketing, product, tech,
analytics, and finance teams. By merging creative thinking and analytics, the
Business Strategy team has led some of the company’s largest and most
ambitious projects to-date.


The Role: As an Associate on the Business Strategy team, you will help
develop insights and recommendations across Chegg’s various businesses
and investment areas. As a key member of the team, you will engage with
leaders across the organization to develop and challenge our long-term
vision for the organization. The right person will be dynamic, strategic, and
collaborative with an ability to digest large amounts of data. Attention to
detail with a strong understanding of business logic are a must.
Responsibilities and Requirements: Individuals will be responsible for meeting
the criteria as described below. Individuals should provide examples of their
ability to meet the expectations of the role, demonstrating a proven track
record of capability.


• Work in a highly dynamic environment and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to
deliver results resourcefully
• Evaluate key business metrics (e.g., conversion, engagement, retention,
financial performance, etc.) and build thoughtful and detailed models to

support business cases
• Draw insights from large amounts of information and communicate them
across the team
• Play a central role in defining product investment and expansion areas,
utilizing deeply studied models, scenario analysis, and competitive research
• Be a key contributor to our strategy and execution within the Chegg
portfolio using analytics, competitor research, financial models and

operational intelligence
• Develop cross-functional relationships across various functional
organizations to gain a deep understanding of their needs, gaps and

opportunities
• Collaborate with product, analytics, data science, consumer insights,
marketing and other teams to translate data and business outcomes into broader narratives
• Present regularly to operational leaders on insights and strategic

recommendations

Required Qualifications and Skills: All individuals should hold the following
qualifications, or have equivalent experience, as applicable. All individuals
should be able to provide examples of the indicated skills and competencies.

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture

capital, strategy/management consulting, or equivalent experience in a

technology/media company

• Strong financial modeling experience and/or deep understanding of how

key business drivers affect a company’s financials

• Highly analytical, strategic and creative thinker with strong business

judgment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships,

influence stakeholders, and inspire others

• Experience in communicating and interacting across an organization to

share, inform, improve and maintain open dialogue

• Proactive and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information,

solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in

challenging situations

• High-energy, team-first attitude: motivated to work hard in an ever-

changing environment

• Passion for improving people’s lives through education

The pay range for this position is $67,383 to $166,852. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors. In addition, Chegg offers a comprehensive benefits plan for eligible employe
