Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, a ​satellite facility of Abrazo ​Arrowhead Campus, has approximately 300 physicians dedicated to your heart care in a smaller hospital setting that is both attentive and experienced. When it opened in 1998, Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital was the first hospital in the United States dedicated to heart disease, and it quickly became one of the world’s leading cardiac care centers. We could have expanded into other service lines, but we chose instead to commit ourselves to excellence in heart care. As in 1998, we focus on the heart, and you will feel that experience when you walk in our doors. Services include Cardiovascular Care, Catheterization Labs, Electrophysiology, Emergency Services, Heart Care, Imaging, Stroke and Vascular Care, and Wound Care.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Executive Officer has overall operational responsibility and oversee Abrazo Heart. The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible to lead by example, setting clear strategies and performance expectations in an environment of participation and collaboration with senior management, physicians, and the Joint Advisory Board(s).

FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

The Chief Executive Officer has the following functional responsibilities in leading Abrazo Heart.

• Ensures a positive working relationship with physicians; creates a culture of open progressive communication and mutual understanding between the physicians, facility leadership and employees.
• Develops and leads a top-notch administrative team.
• Establishes a sense of mutual “pride of ownership” among constituencies, including physicians, employees, and the community. N
