Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 2015 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond VA 23230.

This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer Senior will deliver end to end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Deliver end to end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.
• Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and lead requirements gathering meetings.
• Own the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.
• Provide technical advice and weighs in on technical decisions that impact cross functional teams.
• Research and may propose new technologies.
• Develop and own list of final enhancements.
• Develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
• May own technical testing to ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed, and system is implemented according to plan.
• Assess status and support data information planning.
• Coordinate on-call support and ensure effective monitoring of the system.
• Maintain technical development environment.
• Mentor others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.
• Will begin to set direction at the project/ service level and influences decision-making.
• Provide technical guidance, and mentoring.
• Understand the tradeoffs between technical, analytical and product needs of the technical solutions.
• Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting team, communicate standards and get buy-in on solutions.
• Facilitate group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
• Support vendor evaluation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study.
• Five (5) years of experience in any occupation with Information Technology (IT) experience, or related.
• Five (5) years of Information Technology (IT) experience, or related must include:
• Five (5) years of experience with Star and Snowflake DB Schema, SQL and NoSQL Databases, Cloud Platform and services experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in Object Oriented and Functional Programming, including Python, Unix, Linux and Perl scripting.
• Five (5) years of SQL knowledge and experience working with Relational and non-Relational databases.
• Three (3) years of experience with designing complex Data Models and Data Engineering Solutions for Data Warehouses from various heterogeneous Data Sources.
• Three (3) years of experience debugging performance issues in large-scale production environments.
• Three (3) years of experience with micro-services, scalability, and data pipelines.
• Three (3) years of experience in Marketing Campaign and Process Automation.
• Three (3) years of experience with GIT and Jira story creation and maintenance.
• Two (2) years of independently leading project and working with stake holders.

Alternate Education/Experience Requirements:

• Employer will accept a Master’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation with Information Technology (IT) experience, or related. Must have skills listed above.
