Job Description:
The Database Administrator provides technical and operational support for the operation and maintenance of the on-premise databases. This role is responsible for providing expert database support on the planning and implementation of all required preventative and reactive database maintenance activities, including the physical installation and performance management services for the database software; installing new database versions, patches, and hot fixes; maintaining and insuring database security compliance; and setting and tuning system parameters.
Responsibilities include:
- Disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
- Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.
- Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products.
- Performs database and software lifecycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
- Performs database server administration.
- Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of additional IT experience OR 4 years of active military experience OR Completion of AFS recognized training program (i.e. CodeUp)
- Experience implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration
Nice to have but not required:
- Certified in Oracle DB, MSSQL or equivalent
Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret clearance required
Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role
California: $73,900 - $115,100
Colorado: $73,900 - $99,400
New York City: $85,500 - $115,100
Washington: $78,600 - $105,900
