Examples of duties
This position supports the development and coordination of adult mental health programs within Washington County BHDS. It focuses on program monitoring, evaluation, quality assurance, and collaboration with service providers. As a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1, Planning & Development, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Coordination: Coordinate activities across multiple mental health services and support programs
- Quality Assurance: Review program data and evaluate service effectiveness
- Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with consumers, families, and service providers to support program needs
- Service Monitoring: Track delivery of key services such as peer supports, housing programs, and rehabilitative services
- Data Support: Assist with gathering and organizing information for planning and development
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
