Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Quality Superintendent/Senior Manager - Repair Station (Level M) to support our Quality Organization in Tukwila, WA.

In this role, you will be driving improvements within Repair Stations to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries, zero defects, and zero FOD. The selected candidates will have the unique opportunity to transform the work we do toward that end, develop our teams, and integrate across organizations and the enterprise. The selected candidate will be leading and mentoring a team of executives, managers and employees performing a variety of functions pertaining to Repair Stations.
The Boeing Company Repair Station performs aircraft maintenance and repairs, modification, product overhaul, and repair of products under warranty. Repair Station sites located in Puget Sound, California, Texas, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and aircraft registered in a number of other countries. Repair Station Administration (RSA) serves as a single point of contact for foreign as well as domestic aviation authorities.
Position Responsibilities
- Management and oversight of employees and manager(s) performing activities across multiple job families. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements. Develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers, both direct-report and dotted-line.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Facilitates standardization and the adoption of best practices across the Repair Station network.
- Provides education and coaching on the Repair Station Quality Management System (QMS), Repair Station Administration (RSA), and FAA and other National/Civil Aviation Authorities (NAAs/CAAs) regulatory requirements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with regulatory, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
- Interacts with senior leaders and executives concerning matters of significance to the Company. Primary internal and external contact for core operations and functioning of the BCA Repair Station network, including domestic and international aviation authorities.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Puget Sound, WA, and travel (up to 20%) based on business demands.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 10+ years’ experience in a certificated Repair Station environment
- 5+ years’ experience managing Repair Station personnel
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- The ability to manage, develop and motivate employees.
- Proficient in Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and Systematic Problem Solving.
- Demonstrated skills in Team Building, Systematic Problem Solving and Risk Mitigation.
- Experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience performing repair station work as FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic under Title 14 CFR Part 65
