The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant/Associate/Professor-In-Residence, Clinical Sciences (Pediatric Dentistry), School of Dental Medicine [R0149632]

ROLE of THE POSITION

The School of Dental Medicine invites applications for three (3) full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Professor-in-Residence of Clinical Sciences (Pediatric Dentistry) positions, one of which will be selected as Program Director, Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry [R0149632]. Primary duties include education responsibilities in the predoctoral curriculum and in the CODA-Accredited Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. Faculty hired into these positions will coordinate teaching and learning in pediatric dentistry that meets curriculum design and supports competency of a general dentist for the practice of general dentistry, as well as training and mentoring general dentists enrolled in the advanced education program in pediatric dentistry.


The purpose of these positions is to provide discipline-specific education in the area of pediatric dentistry, supervision and oversight of students seeking a DMD/DDS degree; serve as a professional mentor and role model; and present relevant courses, lectures, seminars and mentoring in this specialty area. Faculty will also contribute to the training and mentoring of those students enrolled in the advanced dental education program in pediatric dentistry. The positions will ensure the appropriate integration of evidence-based curriculum and clinical patient care in both programs.


The School of Dental Medicine seeks to select one applicant from this pool to be considered for additionally be appointed as Program Director, Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry.
