Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Business Development Director to join our team.  This position is a remote position that will directly support ManTech’s Digital Transformation Division (DTD) business unit Reporting to the Growth Lead for DTD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding market trends and technical direction of these customers and translating customer intelligence into compelling capture strategies and solutions is essence of this position

  • Leverage a deep mission understanding of customers’ needs and objectives focused in the areas of Systems Engineering & Integration; Software Development; Test & Evaluation; Tactical Communication Systems; Cyber Operations, and Modeling and Simulation

  • Provide market analysis, strategic business planning, and capture strategy/solution development, leading to award of major programs

  • Conduct oversight of customer contact and positioning; teaming interactions

  • Coordinate with other internal business development, solution architecture and sales resources available across ManTech

  • Provide customer relationship management and opportunity tracking as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience

  • Prior Defense, FedCiv, or Intel sales/business development/capture experience

  • Track record of successful account planning, market strategy alignment, and opportunity identification of qualified opportunities

  • Track record of successful capturing and winning >$100M new business RFPs

  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell capabilities and solutions into adjacent markets

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/execute disciplined account management supporting future capture and proposal efforts for large and/or complex captures in the areas of Systems Engineering & Integration; Software Development; Test & Evaluation; Modeling & Simulation

  • Ability to pivot sell expanding capabilities into Enterprise Information Technology; Data Center, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Enterprise IT Application Development, COTS Business Applications, Modernization and Maintenance

  • Familiarity with major acquisition vehicles

  • Organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional with proven success in selling in a highly competitive systems engineering and professional service markets to government clients.

  • Additional knowledge and experience with marketing adjacent capabilities in the areas of Enterprise IT; Cyber Operations, ITSM and Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; EITaaS; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics

  • Ability to drive /follow the Account Management and lead a Capture Process from Opportunity Positioning and Qualification through Proposal Development and Opportunity Closing

  • Must be willing to travel for the position.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain up to a secret level clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with the Shipley Business Acquisition Process

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

The projected compensation range for this position is $154,900-$257,800. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
