Position Purpose:
Under direction of the Director, Maritime manages the daily activities of the Maritime operations for the Regional activities and assigned duties ensuring customer satisfaction, proper vendor management, regulatory & safety compliance whilst managing efficient and profitable operations. Point of contact for vendors, regulatory bodies and port stakeholders for the assigned region of ports and/ or airports as it relates to day to day operations.
Key Job Activities:
Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient team:
• Makes every reasonable effort to select, train, and develop qualified, diverse workforce.
• Establishes and communicates performance standards and objectives; conducts performance appraisals under the direction of Dir., Maritime
• Recommends salary adjustments, promotions, transfers and dismissals to Dir. Maritime
• Oversees Port Managers, Supervisors and temporary workers in accordance with the Roles & Responsibilities Guidelines document
• Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes in methods, procedures, structure, and additions or changes in personnel to secure optimum utilization of resources.
• Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance and safety.
• Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries.
• Monitors department work productivity, reports on trends, recommends, and implements changes to continually improve work productivity.
Ensures that vendors are being managed as per Company procedures and processes
Closely monitors the financial performance of the Company to include but not limited to managing vendor expenses, involved in vendor selection, provide feedback on price increases/ changes from vendors, understand client pricing vs vendor expenses
Pro-actively interfaces with the cross functional team to propose, develop and implement Company initiatives and execute goals
Promote Company services and provide feedback on new business/ existing business opportunities to Dir. Maritime and Commercial team
Performs other related duties as required and/ or directed by Dir. Maritime.
Education:
Required Education:Preferred Education: in Associates or EquivalentExperience (North America & LATAM):
Required Years of Experience (North America only): 3+ years
Preferred Experience: Good knowledge & understanding
For Management jobs, years of management experience preferred: 5-7

Pursuant to the Florida Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $96,500 to $135,
