About the role

The Opportunity

Ulteig’s Project Management team has an opportunity for a Project Manager – STAC Program to work from our client managing their STAC Program. This is a rewarding opportunity where you will be involved in the critical scope of managing electric substation projects through the STAC process. The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.    

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic project management leadership for the STAC Process of Electric Substation projects
  • Manage a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required.
  • Assess risk and proactively develop mitigation plans.
  • Proactively manages project requests for information and action items.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

 

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of electric utility experience required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for project- and client-related needs.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
  • Experience with ProjectWise
  • Experience with Primavera desired.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US.
