Job Description

AHRC NYC is looking for NEW YORK CITY RESIDENTS to join their INTERNSHIP TO PLACEMENT Direct Support Professional (DSP) Advanced Training Program held at 81 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn, NY. This comprehensive program is designed to impart evidence-based skills and best practices in supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Through a 10-week INTERNSHIP TO PLACEMENT training program, March '24 - December '24 participants will benefit from paid internships while working towards achieving DSP credentialing. Paid Internships up to 140 hours at $16 per hour. The program aims to enhance participants' employability in the Human Services Field, providing them with nationally recognized certifications upon completion. Qualifications

• Must reside in one of the five boroughs of New York City
• Must be over 18 years of age
• High School or IEP Diploma or Equivalent 
• Must be unemployed or work less than 35 hours per week
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
