ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Regional Director of Services will lead people and processes to support interface with all Energy Storage projects across a defined Region. The individual will be directly responsible for identifying and driving revenue initiatives, building and supporting a team, and implementing processes and tools to maximize margins and ensure on-time delivery.

ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Regional Director of Services will lead people and processes to support interface with all Energy Storage projects across a defined Region. The individual will be directly responsible for identifying and driving revenue initiatives, building and supporting a team, and implementing processes and tools to maximize margins and ensure on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage Fluence Service Business performance across key business metrics (Safety, Finance, Maintenance etc.).
- Strategically leverage customer relationships within region to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Own and drive the Fluence safety culture, building on established Fluence safety management system (SMS).
- Own the regional income state performance, including budget development in consultation with Commercial Project Managers for the Americas region.
- Develop asset management, operations, and maintenance strategies for Fluence Energy managed products, while incorporating a continuous improvement approach.
- Lead, mentor and develop an effective Services team to provide a high quality of service that is consistently appreciated and valued by the customers.
- Oversee team management of multiple 3rd party service vendors in the safe execution of O&M services across contracted projects and resolve vendor escalations.
- Identify new issues affecting product performance or Fluence Energy Service and Support business performance and create avenues for Product and Services to collaborate, while leading and facilitating internal and external Root Cause Analysis and Management of Change Activities.
- Proactively identify training opportunities for the customer to enhance their knowledge of Fluence Energy systems, with the goal of improving asset performance.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- Undergraduate degree required with strong preference for technical degree (BSEE, BSME, BSCE, Chemistry, Physics, Math).
- 10 years related experience in electric utility or independent power producer experience within generation / operations / technical teams (Coal, Gas, Solar, Hydro, Wind).
- 5+ years' experience with leading and building a team.
- Must have experience leading safety efforts in an operational setting.
- Experience with income statement responsibility, including budget development.
- Proven track record of technical problem solving using structured approach & complex analytics. Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused/execute on goals.
- Experience and understanding of working in a start-up environment where leaders are required to “get their hands dirty.”
- NetSuite or equivalent financial reporting platform experience required.
- Successful track record of business process management to include project reporting/management, work execution, procure to pay, change management, workforce development and planning.
- Experience negotiating and managing contracts with 3rd party service providers. • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple levels of customer organization.
