We are looking for a Senior/Lead Quantitative Risk Analyst to strengthen our model risk management for Nordea's insurance business.
About our team
Meet the Model Risk and Validation team. Our role is to conduct independent model validation activities intended to verify the soundness of Nordea’s models. As Senior/Lead Quantitative Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that models in the insurance business are conceptually sound and appropriate for their intended business use.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Validate models in the insurance business to verify that models function well and reflect economic and business realities
- Ensure that models and model validation activities meet regulatory requirements
- Ensure robust management of Nordea's model risk
- Develop techniques to further improve our validation approach
- Collaborate and challenge model owners and developers on design and implementation of models
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Nordea Group, including on reporting validation outcomes to management

Your background and skills include:
- Academic degree in a quantitative field, such as actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, physics or similar from a high quality academic institution
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques
- Solid coding skills in Visual Basic, C# or Python, but experience in other programming languages is also valuable
- Knowledge of SII legislation
- Knowledge of the Nordic insurance business is an advantage
- Communication skills in Scandinavian languages or Finnish are an advantage
