Job Description
- Working with stakeholders to refine and document requirements with clear acceptance criteria
- Planning and execution of project activities and aligning resources to ensure that cost, time, and quality goals are met
- Have a leading role in defining an effective communication strategy for the project, including communicating and consulting with key stakeholders
- Leading and tracking progress of project plans to the team and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the key stages and goals
- Managing expectations, scope creep and impacts to timelines.
- Ensuring that requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria are prioritized, clearly defined in Jira stories and dependencies at the application and integration level are identified
- Assisting in prioritizing stories in sprints to align with project and sprint goals
- Coordinate or compile the reporting of metrics to measure the success of meeting project and company goals
- In cases where vendors are included in projects, collaborating with aligning and managing the progress of activities
- Reporting progress to the Steering Group/Sponsor, escalating any issues as appropriate in a timely manner - Initiating corrective action where necessary to keep the project on track.
- Monitoring and communication of decisions made by stakeholders.
- Identify inter-dependencies between the various stakeholder groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated, and communicated.
- Ensuring that data governance approval processes, Business Systems controls and best practices are being followed
- Identifying post-deployment tasks and issues, transitioning application administration to the support team and conducting post-mortems
- Standardizing project documentation as templates and maintaining documents, deliverables, issues, and risks on a project site.
- Proactively identify areas of process improvement and application rationalization
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience that encompassed multiple full system development life cycles from initiation through post implementation
- HS Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years end to end experience with large-scale implementation projects utilizing industry standard development and service delivery methodologies.
- 5+ years’ experience utilizing Software Development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall as well as managed services support structure and best practices.
- Ability to quantify project success with cost and data related metrics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Miro, Monday and Jira
- Ability to advocate a creative atmosphere, facilitate productive meetings, and envision a final product and user adoption early in the design and/or development process.
- Ability to recognize personal skills, abilities, limitations, and strengths, taking appropriate action to pursue developmental activities to strengthen skills and experience.
- Ability to develop cooperative relationships to achieve results through a win-win relationship.
- Ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies.
- Awareness of cultural diversity and can embrace and capitalize those differences; applies knowledge in decision-making process.
- Ability to identify project risks by defining risk strategies and developing the risk management plan.
