Senior Java Software Developer

HITRUST is seeking a Senior Java Software Developer to work  within a dynamic team to design and implement new features in an existing  application. The Java Software Developer will work closely with front-end  developers to design the best possible solutions. This position will be Hybrid  (if located in DFW), or Remote (if located outside of DFW) with required  quarterly travel.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Use TDD and best practices to design and develop Microservices systems with Java and SpringBoot
• Create tools that enhance user experience

Required Skills and Experience: 

• 7+ Years of experience in Java and Spring Boot
• 7+ Years of experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Experience with Agile practices
• Knowledge and experience with major cloud technologies (i.e., Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Strong experience using GIT for source control management. 
• Experience with Testing Frameworks (Mockito, JUnit)
• Excited about Test Driven Development and Quality

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

• 10+ Years of experience in Java and Spring Boot
• 2+ years of proven Test-Driven Development experience 
• Experience in Front end technologies (Angular, React, etc.)
• Experience strangling monoliths
