Job Summary:

Under limited supervision: Assists consumer collectors performing the initial collection activities for all delinquent consumer loan products. Provides backup for the department's Bankruptcy, Repossession, and Charge-off desks. Ensures adherence to department procedures, regulations, federal and state consumer collection laws in the absence of the Consumer Collection Manager.

Requirements

Essential Functions: Fundamental Duties

Supports the Loan Adjustment Consumer Collection Staff members in the following activities:

• Assists with collection activities for all accounts that are delinquent 11-60 days.
• Assigning daily collection queues to collectors and monitor daily production.
• Handling escalated calls and assisting collectors with routine questions.
• Completes loan review and skip tracing on delinquent loans.
• Makes daily collection calls on delinquent loans 30-60 days.
• Functions as Supervisor in the absence of the Consumer Collection Manager.

Reviews and approves the following request types:

• Due date changes and payment extensions.
• Provide skip trace reports and submit field visit request.
• Take No Pay (payment), insurance payments, and loan transmittals.
• General loan maintenance service request.
• Customer complaints research and response.
• Reviews and submits SCRA request.

Opens and distributes postal and inter-branch mail.

Completes Credit disputes via e-Oscar.

Marginal Functions:

Provides backup support for repossession, bankruptcy, and charge off activities.

Participates in special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
