As the Senior Clinical Laboratory Science Specialist for Point of Care Testing (POCT), you will primarily provide leadership and technical expertise for the Mid-Wilshire Clinical Laboratory Point of Care program, with occasional support to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. In this role, you will oversee POCT quality control and proficiency testing, conduct training and competency assessments, validate new analyzers and test methodologies, and develop and maintain policies and procedures.
Salary Range: $63.75hour - $82.08/hour

• Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license. • Bachelor’s degree.• A minimum of four years of clinical laboratory scientist experience.• Proven experience in training and lecturing.• Experience writing procedures and reports.• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.• Demonstrated experience in LIS interface validation, testing, and troubleshooting.• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.• Experience in Point of Care Testing, highly preferred.As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.
