Project Accounting Manager

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers, and Architects is a national multi-disciplined surveying and engineering firm and currently has an opening for a Project Accounting Manager.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, a self-starter, recognizes and is able to meet deadlines, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, able to multi-task and perform with minimal supervision. This person should be familiar with project budgeting, fee types, project billings, project performance analysis and work well as part of a project team.
This position will work in the Finance & Accounting department along with an assigned Sector Manager & National Practice Lead towards the business goals. It will supervise a Project Accountant who will support the Project Accounting Manager with many of the task noted below.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting Rail and Industry Sectors including project set up according to contract terms and project maintenance (budget adjustments, additions of phases and tasks, and project close out).
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports for assigned sector
- Finalizing, posting, tracking, and reviewing third party invoices
- Ensure proper coding and authorization for time sheets, invoices, unit pricing, vehicle logs, and employee reimbursables.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; years of experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience
- At least 3 years in project administration, preferably in an engineering or technically related field
- Knowledge of general accounting practices
- Experience in Deltek is a PLUS

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
