Job Location: San Gabriel Valley YMCA - West Covina, CA 91790Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $16.90 - $20.45 Hourly

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for Part-time Youth Development Staff positions.

This role is an opportunity to directly impact the lives of children and families by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. 

Location: Theses positions are in the West Covina area. Staff must be willing and able to drive in between West Covina schools as needed.   Work Schedule: 1:30pm to 6pm Monday through Friday   Purpose & Impact:

• Be a Mentor: Guide children (ages 5-12) through curriculum-aligned activities (STEM, arts, homework).
• Practice Intentionality: Provide attentive service, warmth, and a welcoming environment for all participants and parents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
• Experience: 6 months experience working with children preferred in an after-school, camp, or daycare setting.
• Education Requirements: 48 college units or passing proficiency exam prior to hire for (non-licensed/ASES programs).
