Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday, 5 pm – 2 am. Availability for the Morning shift 8 am - 5 pm, Evening shift 3 pm-11 pm, Overnight shift 11 pm – 7 am, and on-call/weekend work required. The Security and Emergency Management Section operates 24/7.

A Security Supervisor job is available with the City of Fort Worth Municipal Court: City Hall Security. The City of Fort Worth Municipal Court Security section is a fast-paced and rewarding section responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors to City Hall. The position ensures work quality and adherence to established security policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Four (4) years of security or law enforcement experience, including one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of supervisory experience working in multiple locations
- Previous high-rise security experience
- Experience with coordinating schedules for 24/7 operations
- Experience with card access control and video management system (VMS)
The Security Supervisor's job responsibilities include:
- Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; helping employees with goal setting and achievement; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Establishes schedules and methods for providing security services; identifies resource needs; reviews needs with appropriate management staff; and allocates resources accordingly.
- Oversees, coordinates, and supervises security guards working various shifts and ensures that security personnel staff each post.
- Participates in developing policies and procedures; monitors work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; and recommends changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
- Monitors and evaluates the quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness of assigned security programs, service delivery methods, and procedures; and works with employees to continuously improve city services.
- Performs the more technical and complex tasks, including developing and initiating emergency response plans.
- Participates in preparing and administering the security program budget; submits budget recommendations; monitors expenditures; and approves purchase orders.
- Prepares analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities.
- Coordinates with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, and citizens regarding security and safety.
- Researches products and pricing for card access control and intelligent video systems; meets with contractors and vendors to gather information; and makes recommendations for purchase.
- Perform other related duties as required.
