Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Develop tools with fast and efficient code in coding languages such as Java / Python to test and optimize software performance. Production log analysis to gain actionable insights using different machine learning algorithms and libraries in Python. Identify regression patterns, usage trends, and anomalies in production traffic using analytics and machine learning techniques. Build and run workloads and simulations to measure and demonstrate performance gains in a scientific method. Troubleshoot performance issues, identify root cause and resolve program bottlenecks such as memory leaks. Monitor and evaluate metrics such as CPU usage, response times, memory usage, garbage collections from production and performance environments. Application profiling, Heap dumps and thread dumps analysis using profilers as NewRelic, Yourkit, JProfiler, JMC. Evaluate, manage and improve software processes by utilizing load generation and measurement software such as JMeter, JMH. Design and Develop performance analytics engine to create visualizations of high volume production data available in Cloud system using Python, Jupiter notebooks to identify the regressions quickly. Develop the log analytics and performance dashboards, alerting mechanism using different tools and languages such as Grafana, Splunk, Python libraries. Engage in a project’s design phase for its performance and scalability to analyze time and space complexity. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Design and development of applications and automated tools; (2) Performance testing; (3) Application profiling; (4) Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks; (5) Identifying root causes (6) Analyzing memory leaks; (7) Analyzing regression patterns; and (8) Monitoring and interpreting performance metrics.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
Salary: $151,800.00 - $230,00.00 per annum.
