QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The qualifications and skill requirements for these adjunct faculty nursing positions include
- A current Florida RN licensure and a minimum of two (2) years recent experience for all nursing programs.
- In addition, for each nursing program indicated below, the following specific credentials and experience are required:
Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant:
- Current Florida RN licensure
- Two years recent experience; long term care experience
Practical Nursing:
- Credentialed with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current experience in long term care and/or acute care experience
Associate Degree in Nursing:
- Credentialed with a minimum of a Master’s degree with a major in nursing
- Current experience in acute care
Bachelor of Science in Nursing:
- Credentialed with a minimum of a Master’s degree with a major in nursing
- Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred
- Current experience in acute care
- Instructors must have current knowledge and technical practices within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse and be knowledgeable regarding the roles and scope of practice for the Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Registered Nurse.
