Intern - IT Support and Inventory Management

Exiger is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intern for IT Support and Inventory Management. Reporting to the IT Manager, this internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing operational efficiency and user support within our dynamic IT environment. The key mission of this role is to add value by ensuring accurate device inventory, reconciling information across IT systems, and providing basic user support.

This full time internship position is available for candidates in the surrounding Richmond, Virginia area and will begin on 6/3/24 and end on 8/9/24. 

What You’ll Do:

• Add all laptops to device inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
• Reconcile device and user information between various IT systems, including ServiceNow, JAMF, Endpoint Central, and Active Directory.
• Remove inactive devices from various systems in coordination with team members, maintaining data accuracy.
• Complete simple user support requests, such as account and VPN lockouts, to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Depending on ability, provide basic troubleshooting to users, addressing issues like WiFi and VPN connectivity.

 

What You Need:

• Currently enrolled in a university, ideally in their junior, senior or a master's program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in device inventory and user information.
• Basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting principles.
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to assist with user support requests.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with team members for efficient system management.

This position is hybrid eligible position based in Richmond, VA. The pay rate will be $25/hour.
